In the words of the warrior-poet Shawn Carter: "Allow me to re-introduce myself."
Hi! My name is Alejandro López, and I'm a number of things. I'm a South Floridian who thinks that Laspada's makes the greatest subs this side of the Mississippi. I'm a double Gator, having earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Florida.
I'm also really into writing; and I'm guessing that's why you're here!
In the brief time I've wielded a pen, I've worked in a smorgasbord of roles for a variety of publications: from major newspapers to niche magazines, from traditional print journalism to online hotel copywriting. I've worked to diversify my skillset, and continue striving to do so. You can find samples of my work in the Articles section of this site.
Away from the keyboard, I used to row in sweep-oared shells for the UF Crew and derive undue pleasure from memorizing complex raps. Some of my other interests include reading, travel and my girlfriend's Wheaten Terrier, Piper (isn't she a cutie?).
If you're interested in finding out more about me in greater detail, you can download a PDF copy of my current résumé by clicking on the button below. If you'd like to send me a message, head on over to the contact page on the navigation bar.
In the meantime, feel free to look around and jam out to your heart's content. Thanks for stopping by!
